How does a Website Makeover Work?
► VISUAL AUDIT
We'll look at your images, graphics and visual elements to determine what you want to keep, modify, or replace. I will make color/ font suggestions and recommend a new template (theme) if necessary.
► CONTENT FLOW ANALYSIS
How does your website feel to a customer? How does it feel on mobile devices? Is your important stuff easy to find? Is your website converting? How many pages should you have? What about SEO? We'll figure out those answers together during this consultation process.

Is there a payment schedule?
Before design work begins, you'll pay 75% of the projected website cost via credit card, debit card, or paypal. The remaining 25% is due right before the site goes live and is transferred to your ownership. Learn more here.
What about design revisions- how many do I get?
In order to keep my prices affordable, I limit free revisions to my original website designs. After the first design draft is submitted, small changes can be requested in up to two rounds of revisions. Up to one hour of design changes is included in each round of revisions. If you need more revisions than that, changes are billable at the standard rate of $75/hr. To keep things moving, revision requests must be submitted within 3 days of design/ revision delivery.
Will you teach me how to use my new website?
As a bonus, I offer one hour of free website training to my clients to show you the basic functions of your website. If you need additional training, you can apply for one-on-one coaching which costs $75/hr. Learn more here.
Do you charge by the page or do you charge hourly?
To keep things simple I try to charge by the page. Why? The more pages your site has the longer it takes me to design. This also encourages us to be concise. In some cases, if we are unsure of your exact needs at the time of our initial consultation, I will provide an estimate of anticipated hours needed to complete your custom project.
But what if I need a lot of pages?!
You don't. The majority of people will view your website from a mobile phone, about 65%. Less pages means less waiting for pages to load. I can usually fit all of the necessary information on 3 pages. If you offer many products/ services, you may need 5. If your business faces tough online competition (like doctors/lawyers), you may need more than 5. The best part? It's easy to add on pages later when you know it won't cost a fortune. As your business grows, so can your website.
Why do you recommend Weebly and WIX over Wordpress?
The small business owners I work with, they all want a low maintenance website they can learn to update themselves. That is why, unlike most agencies, I do not recommend Wordpress for the average business person. Wordpress sites are pretty and they can be customized with a billion features. They can also have security issues, and need constant updates. It's hard to edit the website yourself. You don't need that hassle, you need something clean, functional, dependable, and visually attractive. For most people, that is Weebly or Wix.
So how do I choose which platform to use and how many pages I need? What's next?
A consultation comes next. I'm here to help you figure all of that out! In the last year I have worked on 9 different web development platforms and I will help you find a great one for your business.
