Digital Marketing FAQs
How do I make a payment?
During our our initial meeting or phone conversation, I will recommend a weekly or monthly marketing package. You can pay and book online or I can send you an electronic invoice. You can pay online via debit, credit, or electronic check.
Do I pay upfront for digital marketing services?
Work is done in short sprints so there is minimal risk to you and no long term financial obligation. I offer free 30 minute consultations but all marketing work is prepaid to reserve my time. Payment must be made in full each month before work can begin. Amount paid each week (or month) will be based on a specific number of hours, agreed upon by both parties.
What about revisions- how many do I get?
After the first draft is submitted, small changes can be requested in up to two rounds of revisions. To keep the sprint moving, revision requests should be submitted within 2 business days.
Can I get a refund?
As you are paying for services and expertise, once work has begun on a project, you are not eligible for a refund on the hours spent providing those services. If you seek a refund or wish to cancel a project after work begins, you are still responsible for work done up until the date your cancellation or refund request is received. If there are hours paid for, that have not been worked, those can be refunded.
Web Design FAQs
Do you charge by the page or do you charge hourly?
With new websites or website makeovers, I charge by the page. Why? The more pages your site has the longer it takes me to design. This also encourages us to be concise. If we are unsure of your exact needs at the time of our initial consultation, I will provide an estimate with anticipated hours needed to complete your custom project.
But what if I need a lot of pages?!
You don't. The majority of people will view your website from a mobile phone, about 65%. Less pages means less waiting for pages to load. I can usually fit all of the necessary information on 3-5 pages. If you offer many products/ services, you may need 7-10. If your business faces tough online competition (like doctors/lawyers), you may need 15-20. Most people start small and add on over time. As your business grows, so can your website.
Why do you recommend HubSpot and Wix over Wordpress?
The small business owners I work with, they all want a low maintenance website they can learn to update themselves. That is why, unlike most agencies, I do not recommend Wordpress for the average business person. Wordpress sites are pretty and they can be customized with a billion features. They can also have security issues, and need constant updates. It's hard to edit the website yourself. You don't need that hassle, you need something clean, functional, dependable, and visually attractive. For most people, that is HubSpot or Wix.
